This is a view of the South West corner approaching the ground from the junction of Barrack Road and Strawberry Place.

2.50 p.m. - now inside St. James's Park.
This a view from the corner flag in the South West Stand looking towards the Sir John Hall Stand (Leazes End) at the far end of the ground. On the left is the Milburn Stand and the East Stand on the right.

Sir John Hall Stand

2.52p.m. Half way line.
A view of the Sir John Hall Stand coming round left into the Milburn Stand. Having sat in the second back row of the Sir John Hall Stand for the home game against Liverpool (we won 2-1 !) I can tell you it is along way up all those stairs. From the top you also get a great view of the City - you can see the Haymarket Bus Station to your left and you can even see the traffic coming over the Tyne Bridge looking over the South East corner stand.

2.53 p.m. Half way line. Seven minutes to kick off and still the ground appears less than half full.
A view of the East Stand straight ahead.

St.James's Park-teams run onto the pitch

2.58 p.m. The two teams run onto the pitch
The Stadium has filled in the last 5 minutes as kick off approaches.

3.10 p.m. - 10 minutes into the game and Bobby Robson can't believe his luck, another injury already as Warren Barton goes back on to try to run it off. He is replaced within a few minutes - probably just as well as he had already been skinned by the opposing left winger !

End of the game

4.55 p.m. The players leave the pitch.
Nikos Dabizas, alongside Wayne Quinn, leaves the pitch after defeating West Ham 2-1. It was Dabizas's first game after returning from a long term injury picked up at the start of the season.

4.57 p.m. - The fans leaving the St James's Park going along what used to be the outside of the ground, but is now a concourse beneath the extension to the Milburn Stand.
